The domestic frozen air conditioning industry forms a market size of 10 trillion won per year, and it is an export strategy industry that exports about 50% of it. In the 21st century, due to climate change and imbalance in energy supply and demand, energy efficiency and performance standards of energy-efficient devices such as refrigeration air conditioners have been strengthened.

In order to increase exports through technology improvement of domestic products, KRAAC, Korea's only cold air conditioning certification center with international-level performance and energy efficiency evaluation test facilities and technology was established.
